Hardaway baseball sweeps Region 1-AAAAA major postseason awards

Champion Hardaway swept Region 1-AAAAA's major postseason awards.

Catcher Josh Anthony was selected as the Player of the Year, while Cedric Brown was the Pitcher of the Year. Chris Gilstrap was named the Coach of the Year.

Other Hardaway players to make the first team were first baseman Blake Meadows and third baseman Brandon Bynum. Outfielder Tre'von Dorsey made second team.

Northside second baseman Taylor Harper made the first team, while first baseman Handley Boyd, third baseman Cam Scott, outfielders Cam Hopkins and Bennett Wilson and pitchers Chase Slocumb and Chadd Pigg made second team.

Harris County shortstop Ty Edwards made first team, while second baseman Neil Jimmerson and pitcher Drew Reeves made second team.
