June 18: You're invited to be in Tim Maggart's music video

June 10, 2013

Country music singer/songwriter Tim Maggart invites the community to be part of a scene in his music video for “A Link.” He hopes to line both sides of the sidewalk leading up to the National Infantry Museum with people of all ages holding photos of loved ones who’ve served in the military. Those who are interested in participating should be at the museum with a 5-inch-by-7-inch or 8-inch-by-10-inch framed photo at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 18.

Maggart, known for "Freedom Train," and "House of Heroes," is a U.S. Army veteran whose family members have been part of every conflict since the Civil War. “It’s a great way for families to spend some time together and to share a memory of family members who have served,” the musician said in a news release. “And it will give children and widows and parents of those who are no longer with them a unique way to honor their loved one.”

The video is being produced by Pope Johnson Video Productions. Its debut will be July 4, 2013, in the National Infantry Museum’s IMAX Theatre.
