Fort Benning announced today that it will close the Commissary on Mondays between July 8 and Sept. 30.

The Defense Commissary Agency is following the Department of Defense procedures initiated by the sequestration, or federal government budget reductions.

Approximately 170 commissary employees are affected by these furloughs.
