Items reported stolen from cars on Front Street during Army Ball

Columbus police are investigating the report of three cars on Front Street being broken into and items taken during the Army Birthday Ball at the Columbus Convention and Trade Center.

According to a police report, the thefts occurred between 6 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Friday.

A 2011 Honda CRV had its right passenger window smashed and a red purse valued at $50 stolen. Damage to the car is estimated at $200.

A 2012 Nissan Pathfinder had its right passenger window smashed. Taken from the vehicle was purse with an estimated value of $40 and two Motorola cell phones with a combined value of $1,200. The estimated value of the damage to the vehicle is $200.

A 2012 Nissan Maxima had its right passenger window smashed. A purse valued at $50 was taken. Estimated damage to the car is $200.

All of the purses had numerous items inside them.
