Items taken from cars during Army Birthday Ball

Columbus police are investigating the report of three cars on Front Street being broken into and items taken during the Army Birthday Ball at the Columbus Convention & Trade Center.

According to a police report, the thefts occurred between 6 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Friday. The right passenger window of each car was smashed, and damage to each car estimated at $200.

A red purse valued at $50 was stolen from a 2011 Honda CRV.

Taken from2012 Nissan Pathfinder was a purse with an estimated value of $40 and two Motorola cell phones with a combined value of $1,200.

A purse valued at $50 was taken from a 2012 Nissan Maxima.

All of the purses had numerous items inside them.

Electronics taken from Terminal Court apartment

An Apple iPad and Emerson television were among items reported stolen from an apartment on Terminal Court.

The victim told Columbus officers that she found her bathroom window smashed. Audio headphones, packs of cigarettes, beer and soda were also missing.

The crime occurred between June 10 and Friday.

The value of items taken is estimated at $1,175 and damage to the apartment at $150.
