Thursday marked the second night of preliminary competition for the Miss Georgia 2013 Pageant. This is how it works: The Miss Georgia and Miss Georgia's Outstanding Teen contestants are each divided into three groups. There are three nights of preliminary competition. Each group competes in one category each night.

Each night, winners will be crowned. For Miss Georgia, categories are: talent, evening wear/onstage question, swimsuit. For Miss Georgia's Outstanding Teen: talent, evening wear/onstage question, fitness.

Some noteworthy parts of Thursday's competition:

* The highlight of the evening was a dance to "Forever Yours" by Miss Georgia Leighton Jordan and her Princess, Tori Svenson. Tori missed much of last year's pageant because she was recovering from cancer treatments. Tori and Leighton got a standing ovation.

* There was a Bollywood-type production number

* Guests saw the "Blues Brothers," courtesy of Adam Kennedy and Jim Montgomery, two field directors for Miss Georgia. They accompanied 2012 Outstanding Teen Jameson Kenerly, who danced to "Think" by Aretha Franklin.

* Eight former Miss Georgias were in the audience, from 1969 to 2011.
