A Columbus man was charged with trafficking meth after police seized almost 4 ounces of the drug Friday afternoon, police said.

Christopher Charles Cox, 31, is being held at the Muscogee County Jail.

He was arrested about 4:45 p.m. after a green 2004 Ford F-150 pickup was stopped on Victory Drive during a Special Operations Unit investigation. Inside the vehicle, police found 3.7 ounces of meth with a street value of $10,770. Officers also found a glass smoking device and oxycodone pill.
