Update: The Top 10 finalists are named

The Top 10 semifnalists are named. They are:

Miss South Central Georgia, Courtney J. Walker, 22, of Bonaire, Ga. She will sing "Nobody Does it Like Me." She goes to the University of Georgia, working on her doctorate in pharmacy. Her platform is the Ronald McDonald Charities.

Miss Conyers Cherry Blossom, Lauren F. Edmunds, 24, of Americus, Ga. She will do a jazz dance to "Feelin' Good." She goes to the University of Georgia, majoring in furnishings and interiors. Her platform is Breast Cancer: Fighting the Fear.

Miss Cobb County, Maggie Bridges, 20, of Brinson, Ga. She will sing "You'll Never Walk Alone." She goes to the Georgia Institute of Technology, majoring in biochemistry. Her platform is Impacting Others Through Volunteerism.

Miss Whitewater, Katherine McCauley, 20, of Marietta, Ga. She will sing "Kiss Me in the Rain." She goes to Kennesaw State University, majoring in theater and communications. Her platform is the Children's Miracle Network hospitals.

Miss Columbus, Willietta T. Grant, 23, of Columbus. She will sing "One Less Bell"/"A House Is Not a Home." She goes to Columbus State University, majoring in mathematics education. Her platform is Youthful Expression and Esteem Through the Arts.

Miss Troup County, Hayley N. Henderson, 23, of Columbus. She will sing "Holding Out for a Hero." She goes to Columbus State University, majoring in communication and marketing. Her platform is March of Dimes: Spreading Awareness That One Day All Babies Will Be Born Healthy By Preventing Birth Defects, Premature Births and Infant Mortality.

Miss Georgia Southern University, Reedi M. Hawkins, 21, of Albany, Ga. She will do ballet en pointe to "Turn the Beat Around." She goes to Georgia Southern University, majoring in multimedia communications and broadcast information. Her platform is P.O.S.T. -- Positive Operation of Social Media Techniques.

Miss Atlanta, Carly M. Mathis, 22, of Leesburg, Ga. She will sing "I Know You Won't." She is a University of Georgia graduate, whose major was digital and broadcast journalism. Her platform is Heart Health and Heart Safety.

Miss Golden Isles, Carmella M. Turner, 23, of Baxley, Ga. She will sing "Love Is Where You Find It." She goes to Valdosta State University, majoring in choral music education. Her platform is Stand Up for the Ovation, Keep Music Education!

Miss Clermont, Lia Racanelli, 23, of Athens, Ga. She will sing "I Surrender." She goes to the University of Georgia, majoring in publication management and printmaking. Her platform is Silence the Cycle: Intimate Partner Violence Awareness and Prevention.
