Recruiting: LB flips from Louisville to Georgia

semerson@macon.comJune 23, 2013

ATHENS - Detric Dukes had been committed to Louisville since April. But as an in-state prospect, Georgia was always still a threat to get the linebacker from Tucker to change his mind.

And now he has done that.

Dukes, rated a three-star prospect by the 247 Composite, on Sunday reneged on his commitment to Louisville and instead will go to Georgia, according to multiple reports by recruiting services.

Dukes, listed at 6-foot and 220 pounds, will be a senior this year at Tucker High School.

He is the 11th commitment so far for Georgia's 2014 class, but the first linebacker, and only the fourth defensive player.
