The art of waiting in line

Posted on July 1, 2013

My colleague Sonya Sorich is a better woman than I am.

She spent several hours in line at Old Navy Saturday to buy $1 flip flops.

I would not stand in line to buy $1 flip flops. If you see me in line holding cheap flip flops, you can shoot me.

For one thing, can't you buy $1 flip flops at the dollar store?

Besides, I wear little kids' shoes, so there are cheap flip flops everywhere. Real shoes are a different story, but flip flops?!

I spent two hours in line to ride something at Tokyo Disneyland, but that's to ride something. I'm not sure tha was a wise thing to do, but we did it. What ride? I can't remember.

That may be the longest I spent in line anywhere.

At my age, I think twice about spending time waiting.

Maybe to meet Russell Crowe.

But for $1 flip flops, I don't think so.
