Two men reportedly impersonated state revenue agents Friday at a BP gas station on Buena Vista Road, according to a Columbus Police report.

A Department of Revenue agent contacted police Tuesday to report that on Friday at about 2 p.m. two men entered a BP gas station on the 3700 block of Buena Vista Road. They presented a badge and told the business owner that they were state revenue agents. Both men were reportedly wearing weapons on their belts.

When the owner asked for a business card and an ID card the men could not produce one.

The suspects were driving a newer style Ford Sedan. They had a North Carolina license plate.

No suspects were named. Those who have additional information about this incident should called the Police Investigations Division at 706 653 3400.
