Opelika burglar enters through dog door

A burglar allegedly broke into a house on the 700 block of McDonald Drive through a dog door during the past weekend, according to an Opelika Police Department press release.

The home owner told police that between 10:30 a.m. Saturday and 1:50 p.m. Tuesday, a burglar entered the residence through a dog door in the rear of the house. Several drawers were opened and several items were moved around. Nothing was reported stolen.

The case is under investigation.
