Fatal crash investigators with the Georgia State Patrol are searching for a small gray car, possibly a Suzuki, in connection with a fatal crash in Harris County on June 25.

According to a press release sent out today, the crash claimed the life of Galen Stuart Mallory, age 20, from West Point and injured three others. On June 25th at approximately 6:35 p.m., State Troopers from GSP LaGrange responded to a fatal crash on Whitesville Road approximately two miles south of GA 18 in Harris County.

A witness to the crash described the at-fault vehicle as a small gray car, possibly a Suzuki, being driven by a younger white male with a short haircut.

The gray car slowed down after the crash but continued south on Whitesville Road.

According to the witness, the gray vehicle crossed the centerline and forced a northbound 2003 Lincoln Aviator to take evasive action.

The Aviator left the roadway on the east edge, came back on the roadway, crossed the centerline and was hit by Mallory’s 2004 Kia Spectra.

After impact, the Lincoln was engulfed in flames.

Bystanders pulled the occupants of the Lincoln from the vehicle and then used a tow strap to pull the Kia away from the burning vehicle.

Anyone with information on the vehicle or the driver is asked to please call the Georgia State Patrol Post in Lagrange at 706-845-4104, or the Harris County Sheriff’s Office at 706-628-4211.
