Columbus man says he was beaten with nunchucks

A 38-year-old Columbus man told Columbus police that he was beaten Friday night and his attacker used nunchucks. a Japanese weapon used in martial arts.

According to a police report, the incident happened in the street near 4301 Veterans Parkway around 9 p.m.

The man said he was injured in a fight with an unknown white male. He told police that at the time he was intoxicated and he can't t remember what began the fight. He told police his attacker pulled out nunchucks and struck him in the head causing him to fall. When he fell he scratched his nose and elbow.

The man told police he walked to The Medical Center to receive treatment.
