Police arrest suspect in home invasion

Joshua Norman of Columbus, the suspect in a home invasion the morning of July 13, was arrested Wednesday night by Columbus police.

The arrest was made at the Chase Apartments.

Police said the crime occurred around 12:45 a.m. on 17th Street.

One person was struck in the head but not seriously injured. Shots were fired but nobody was wounded.

Police said no money was taken.

Norman is in the Muscogee County Jail. He is charged with five counts of aggravated assault, five counts of criminal attempt armed robbery, one count of possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of a crime, one count of burglary and one count of violation of probation.
