Man shot multiple times during armed robbery at Booker T. Washington apartments

A man was shot multiple times during an armed robbery on Fifth Avenue Tuesday, according to a Columbus Police report.

Police were on in a routine patrol in the area at about 10:40 p.m. when they heard three gunshots around the 600 block of Fifth Avenue. A 21-year-old man who had gunshot wounds to his chest, left shoulder and upper back area told police he was shot and robbed of his wallet.

The victim was transported to The Medical Center. Police are looking for a 5-foot-8 black man who is slim built with dreadlocks and a mustache. Anyone with information is encouraged to call 706 653 3400.
