A man riding with his brother during an accident on J.R. Allen Parkway Tuesday was transported to the Medical Center for internal injury treatment, according to an accident report provided by Columbus Police Patrol Services.

Driver Keith Turner, 18, was traveling east on J.R. Allen Parkway near River Road in a 2000 Acura TL at about 1:10 p.m. when he hit the median. When he did, he over-corrected his turn and lost control, causing the car to go into a clockwise spin that crossed several lanes of traffic.

The vehicle began spinning into some trees near the shoulder of the roadway, during which his brother was thrown out of his seat in the front and landed in the rear of the car. He was later extracted by Fire Department officials and EMS and was transported to the Medical Center in serious condition. A separate police report stated the brother sustained "unknown internal injuries."

Turner was later transported by his parents to the Medical Center. Investigators reported his speed at 65 mph.
