RICHMOND HILL, Ga. — Noah Lee hit a two-run homer as the Northern Little League All-Stars beat Cartersville 4-3 on Thursday morning in the Georgia major baseball state championship.

Northern will face either Warner Robins or Martinez-Evans in the championship game at 10 a.m. Friday. Warner Robins and Martinez-Evans play at 1 p.m. Thursday afternoon.

Colby Brabston picked up the win, going the final five innings in relief of starter Trent Grantham.

Cartersville scored three times in the top of the first off Grantham as Ledarius Winburn hit a 3-run homer.

Northern scored all of its runs in the bottom of the third.

Cole Pettis and Josh Evans both walked. Pettis, who had advanced to third on a passed ball, scored on Austin Hicks' fielder's choice.

Grantham followed with a single into right field to drive in Hicks.

Lee followed with his homer to center field to give Northern the 4-3 lead.

Brabston came in to pitch to start the second inning. He struck out 11.

The fifth was the only inning he ran into trouble. Cartersville loaded the bases with a pair of singles and a walk. But he struck out the Cartersville pitcher to end the threat and keep Northern ahead.

Brabston struck out all three batters he faced in the sixth.
