Woman stabbed while attempting to break up fight

A woman was stabbed in the arm on Second Avenue Sunday while attempting to break up a fight, according to a Columbus Police report.

Police met the 54-year-old victim on Manchester Expressway at about 1 a.m. Sunday after receiving reports of a stabbing. The woman told police that she was in the area of Second Avenue and 23rd Street when she saw a fight break out between a man and a woman she didn't know. When she attempted to break up the fight, she was stabbed in the arm. The event allegedly took place in front of about six other people.

The woman transported herself to St. Francis Hospital and was treated.

Police have developed no suspects. No description of the two people fighting was available.
