A woman was arrested and charged with cocaine possession after she was seen littering on 28th Avenue, according to a Columbus Police report.

Police were on patrol near Cusseta Road and 28th Avenue when they saw Gloria Godette, 59, walking down the sidewalk. She tossed a 24oz can of Colt 45 up in the air behind her and failed to pick up the trash. When officers stopped her to ask why she threw the can, she said she was "just drinking a beer." Police then placed her into custody for littering and drinking in public.

While Godette was being searched, police found a crack pipe with residue in her purse. A search of Godette's person revealed another crack pipe hidden in the left side of her bra. During the search, Godette told officers she just bought crack cocaine with another person at Victory Trailer Park.

Godette was charged with possession of cocaine, possession of drug related objects, drinking in public and littering. She was taken to Muscogee County Jail.
