West Georgia Dixie Majors continue to win in World Series

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. — The West Georgia (Columbus) Dixie Boys team beat Laurel, Miss., 5-1, Tuesday morning in the Dixie Boys World Series.

The game had been delayed from Monday night.

Mitchell Donahue picked up the win, going 6 1-3 innings. He allowed three hits while striking out five.

Nick Watford had a two-run double.

West Georgia is the lone undefeated team left in the tournament. West Georgia played Terrebonne Parish, La., late Tuesday night.
