Suspect attempts to sexually assault man, threatens with butcher knife

Police are searching for a suspect who allegedly attempted to sexually assault a 24-year-old man after threatening him with a butcher knife, according to a Columbus Police report.

The victim told police that at about 12:40 a.m. on Tuesday a man threatened him with a butcher knife and attempted to sexually assault him inside a North Lumpkin Road apartment.

The man described the suspect as a black man who appeared to be about 5-foot-10. He had a light complexion, a low haircut and was skinny with a thick goatee.

No injuries were reported. No further details about the attempted assault were available.
