Ultimate Bridal Expo

What: Brides, grooms and their families can visit with vendors from around the region and the first 500 people will receive a free gift bag. Expect free samples, food, door prizes and more.

When: 1-5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 4. A fall fashion show will be at 4 p.m.

Where: RiverMill Event Centre, 3715 First Ave.

Cost: $3 brides, $5 guests

Information: Tickets can be purchased at the RiverMill Event Centre in advance or at the event.

Second Saturday at the Columbus Museum

What: This new, free family program will take place the second Saturday of each month. On Aug. 10, families are invited to create an Andy Warhol-inspired print, check out the hands-on interactive area in the "Warhol In Southern Collections" exhibit and join in a special reading of "Uncle Andy's" written by Andy Warhol's nephew, James Warhol.

When: 10 a.m.-noon Saturday, Aug. 10

Sky High Hot Air Balloon Festival

What: The weekend kicks off with the Friday Night Balloon Glow and continues with balloon flights and tethered balloon rides, a classic car show, live music and beach activities through Labor Day weekend.

When: Friday, Aug. 30- Mon. Sept. 2.

Where: Callaway Gardens

Cost: The Special Event fees of $25 for anyone 13 and older and $12.50 for children ages 6-12

Pine Mountain Trail Hike

What: Meet at the Dowdell Knob Trailhead Parking Lot to hike Dowdell Knob Loop, 4.3 moderate miles.
