Two LaGrange teens seriously injured after bike collides with car

Two LaGrange teens were seriously injured after they collided head-on with a car near Truitt Avenue, according to a LaGrange Police Department press release.

Police responded to Dunsun Street near Truitt Avenue on Tuesday at about 9:44 p.m. after receiving reports of a vehicular accident. When officers arrived, they found a 15-year-old and 13-year-old boy who were seriously injured. The teens told police they were riding the same bicycle when they collided with a 2008 Chevrolet Impala.

Investigators discovered that the driver of the vehicle was traveling North in the Southbound lanes on Dunson Street when he hit the boys. Officials also determined that the 15-year-old's injuries were critical.

Charges for the driver are pending. No further information was available.
