Woman arrested for crack cocaine near 28th Street

A woman was arrested and charged with crack cocaine Thursday after she was stopped near 28th Street, according to a Columbus Police report.

Police stopped Sharon Martin, 48, for an undisclosed reason near the intersection of 28th Street and Third Avenue. The stop occurred Thursday at around 8 p.m.

During a search of Martin's person, police discovered crack cocaine. The amount of cocaine found was not available.

Martin was arrested and charged with possession of crack cocaine and obstruction of a law enforcement officer. She was taken to Muscogee County Jail.

No further details were available as of Friday morning.
