THE PERCENTAGES

Here are the percentage increases or decreases from 2011 to 2012 in the pay of Columbus-based CEOs:

• DAN AMOS of Aflac -- Base salary up 3 percent from $1,399,100 to $1,441,100. Total package down 5.5 percent from $14,627,880 to $13,818,362

• PHIL TOMLINSON of TSYS -- Base salary up 2.9 percent from $865,200 to $891,000. Total package up 0.6 percent from $4,925,324 to $4,958,885

• KESSEL STELLING of Synovus -- Base salary up 32 percent from $875,000 to $1,161,023. Total package up 31 percent from $1,471,330 to $1,929,268

• DAVID PASSMAN of Carmike Cinemas -- Base salary up 5.5 percent from $630,000 to $665,000. Total package up 40 percent from $2,233,630 to $3,130,713
