A peeping Tom was reported on the 5200 block of Eaton Drive Monday morning, according to a Columbus Police report.

Police arrived at a residence on Eaton Drive at about 6:10 a.m., where a 52-year-old victim told officers that his wife was getting ready for work earlier in the morning when he glanced through the curtains of his rear window. He reportedly saw a man standing outside looking in the window.

The victim ran toward the front of his residence in time to see the suspect fleeing behind the neighbor's house and over a chain link fence toward Wellborn Drive. The neighbor also told police that he has seen the same man behind his residence.

Officers searched the area of Wellborn Drive and found an abandoned house on the 5000 block where wet grass had recently been trampled. The house was locked and there were no signs of the suspect in the area.

The suspect is described as a black man with a medium complexion. During the incident, he was wearing a black hoodie, dark knee length shorts and tan work boots.

Anyone who has information about this incident should call the Police Investigations Unit at 706 653 3400.
