Two women were arrested and charged with methamphetamine possession Tuesday on 29th Street, according to a Columbus Police report.

An officer was patrolling the area of 29th Street Tuesday at about 3 a.m. when he noticed two people slouching down in their car, appearing as if they were attempting not to be seen.

When the officer asked the women to exit the car, he discovered that both Amanda Jones, 32, and Candice Exum, 32, were in possession of meth. The amount found was not available.

Jones and Exum were arrested and charged with possession of meth. Both were taken to Muscogee County Jail.
