Today, Aug. 16, is the anniversary of Elvis Presley's death. The legendary singer died Aug. 16, 1977.

At least that's what most people believe. A quick Google search yielded one website that begins with this sentence: "Elvis Presley, the man, the myth, the legend, the king of rock-n-roll, IS ALIVE and working as an undercover agent for the DEA."

Hmm.

Well, the rest of us can mark the day by listing our favorite Elvis songs. What's yours? I'm particularly fond of "Burning Love." If you need a refresher on Elvis songs, check out the Official Elvis Channel on YouTube.

Elvis received 14 Grammy nominations, according to Elvis.com. He won three Grammys, all of which were for gospel recordings. He starred in 31 feature films and two theatrically released concert documentary films.

The official Elvis website also includes a roundup of famous Elvis quotes.

Thousands of people traveled to Graceland, Elvis' Memphis home, on Thursday to attend a candlelight vigil, according to the Associated Press.
