The weather may not play nice with some of the events planned for this weekend, but there are a few indoor offerings for those looking to get out of the house.

But if you're planning to participate in some of the outdoor possibilities, make sure to call or visit the coordinating websites to check before heading out.

Uptown's Market Days: 9 a.m.-noon today, 1000 and 1100 blocks of Broadway. Purchase produce, crafts, baked goods and artwork by local vendors. 706-596-0111.

Personal Watercraft/Boating Course: A free course offered by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources Law Enforcement Division, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. today at the Chattahoochee Sailing Club on Lake Harding, 600 Longview Drive. Participants will receive a certificate after successfully completing the course. The course meets Georgia law that requires the completion of a safe boating course for people ages 12-15 who wish to operate a personal watercraft or boat without adult supervision. Pro Wrestling at the Front Porch of the South: 7 p.m. today; doors open at 6 p.m. Featured will be SPW Champion "Dirty" Dave Tate who will defend his title against "Da" Hick; the co-main event features "The Black Superman" AJ Steele and "Stalker. The SPW Legacy title will be contested at this event starting with a Battle Royale. A last man standing match will be between the Widow Maker and Shaun-O Evans. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children age 10 and under. Proceeds will go to the John B. Amos Cancer Center. Tickets are available at Front Porch of the South, 7607 Veterans Parkway, and the MWR Tickets and Travel Office, 9230 Marne Road, Fort Benning.

Smiths Station Summer Sizzler: This event includes a 5K and 1-mile race. It's at Smiths Station High School, 4228 Lee Road 430, in Smiths Station, Ala. The action starts at 8 a.m. today. The cost is $25-$30. Visit active.com for more information, including details about advance registration.

The Amazing Marriage Chase: This activity encourages engaged and married couples to have fun together. It includes a series of challenges and boasts prizes like a Char-Broil grill. The event starts at 8:30 a.m. today at the concrete stage on the 1100 block of Broadway in downtown Columbus. People can register online at www.rightfromthestart.org or at the event at 8 a.m. The cost is $20 per couple, which includes two T-shirts.

Good Vibes Gathering: This event is today and Sunday at Sweet Home Plantation in Pine Mountain, Ga. Expect art, music, crafts and more. It's free, but donations are accepted. The artist market is noon-6 p.m. today and music is noon-11 p.m. On Sunday, the artist market is noon-5 p.m. and music is noon-6 p.m. The event is kid-friendly and leashed dogs are permitted. The Men of Magic Mike Male Revue: Mix Ultra Lounge, 1040 Broadway, hosts the all-male revue for guests 21 and older. Doors open at 8 p.m. today. The show is from 9-11 p.m. Check the nightclub's Facebook page for information about limited $10 advance tickets. Otherwise, tickets are $15. Call 706-221-2112.

Picnic with the Tortoises: Pack a picnic lunch for your family and head to Columbus State University's Oxbow Meadows for this event, which is 1 p.m. Sunday. Future dates are Sept. 8 and 22, and Oct. 6 and 20. It's free, but bring $1 to buy lettuce if you want to feed the tortoises. Pre-registration is not required. Oxbow Meadows is at 3535 South Lumpkin Road in Columbus.
