Charlie Wilson will perform at the Columbus Civic Center Dec. 6, local concert promoter Mike Blackwell confirmed Friday. Wilson is the former lead vocalist for the Gap Band.

He’s known for hits like “There Goes My Baby” and “Beautiful,” his collaboration with Snoop Dogg (aka: Snoop Lion) and Pharrell. Ticket information will be announced in the future.

Most recently, Wilson was honored at the 2013 BET Awards with a Lifetime Achievement Award. Here's that night's memorable Charlie Wilson tribute, featuring Snoop, Pharrell and Justin Timberlake.
