Man, 28, robbed, gunned down on 20th Avenue

A 28-year-old Columbus man was treated at The Medical Center late Friday after he was robbed and shot twice on 20th Avenue, police said.

The victim was in stable condition after the 6:30 p.m. assault at 444 20th Ave., police said. He was being treated for a gunshot wounds to his right arm and upper right chest.

In a report, police said officers were called to the apartment complex to check on a shooting victim. Officers found the wounded man with gunshots in front of apartment No. 15.

Police didn't disclose what was taken from the victim before he was shot twice.

As officers rushed to the scene, they were told the gunman was riding a bicycle. No suspect was found in the area and a description was unavailable early today.

The robbery and shooting remain under investigation, police said.
