LaGrange man shot in leg on Union Street

LAGRANGE, Ga. — A man was shot in the leg Saturday morning while on Union Street, according to a LaGrange Police Department press release.

Police arrived on the 100 block of Union Street at about 1:25 a.m. after receiving reports of a shooting. When they arrived, the victim told police he was walking down Union Street when he heard gunshot. He attempted to flee, but realized he had been shot in the leg.

No description of the assailants were available. The victim was transported to the Medical Center, where he was treated and released.
