Argentinos Juniors rose to the top of the table on Saturday after posting a comfortable 3-0 victory over San Lorenzo.
The visitors got off to a quick start when Julio Barraza opened the scoring 10 minutes into the game as Juniors took a one-goal advantage into the locker room at the break.
In the second half Hernan Boyero made it 2-0 for Junionrs in the 53rd minute and Rodrigo Gomez finished off the result with a tally 11 minutes later to give his club six points from their first three matches of the new campaign.
The result also sees San Lorenzo drop its first result of the season. They remain on six points, behind Argentinos Juniors on goal difference.
Also on Saturday, Gimnasia La Plata scored twice inside the first 19 minutes and cruised to a 3-1 victory over Rosario Central.
Sunday's action saw Sergio Araujo score a brace to lead Tigre to a 3-1 win over Racing, while Boca Juniors held on for a 2-1 victory against Atletico Rafaela. Newell's Old Boys and Belgrano played to a scoreless draw, as did Godoy Cruz and River Plate.
On Friday in Argentina, Arsenal received goals from Ramiro Carrera, Julio Furch and Damin Perez in a 3-1 result over Olimpo, while a 79th-minute penalty kick from Ruben Ramirez lifted Colon to a 1-0 win against Quilmes.
Monday's action saw Lanus earn a point from a 1-1 draw with Estudiantes and Velez Sarsfield play to a 1-1 draw at All Boys.
