London Mason, 22, arrested in connection with Sunday morning shooting

London Mason, 22, was booked into the Muscogee County Jail Monday, according to the Muscogee County Jail website.

Mason is charged with aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He was arrested on Andrews Road.

No police representative was immediately available to discuss Mason's arrest. More details will be added as they become available.

Columbus police are searching for London Mason, 22, of Columbus. He is suspected of shooting 51-year-old James Fordham Sunday morning.

Police say Fordham was shot in the chest around 5:45 a.m. on Lee Street.

He was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Mason is a black male. He is 6-foot tall and weighs about 400 pounds.
