Bike thieves bash man's head on Fourth Avenue

Two bike bandits allegedly battered a 52-year-old man for his Roadmaster bicycle on Fourth Avenue Sunday, according to a Columbus Police report.

Officers reported that the victim was bashed several times in the head in the area between 35th Street and 38th Street by two suspects. It was around 8:30 p.m. when the suspects allegedly beat him up and took his blue and white bike with pegs.

The two suspected robbers are described as black men in their late teens or early twenties. One was wearing a white shirt with black pants. The other was wearing a black shirt with black pants.

Another robbery was reported on Fourth Avenue in February. On February 10, a victim was knocked to the ground and shot non-fatally in the head and arm on the 2700 block of Fourth Avenue. Adrian Harris, 25, was later arrested in connection with that crime.
