Blueridge Drive man claims to have gun, robs man of $40

Threatening a man with a gun led to an armed robbery charge for a Blueridge Drive man Monday morning, according to a Columbus Police report.

Officers arrested Michael McHone, 23, at about 7:05 a.m., after he allegedly robbed a 28-year-old man of $40 at the intersection of Bealwood Avenue and 40th Street. McHone allegedly claimed to have a gun, although no evidence of a weapon was reported.

McHone was charged with armed robbery, obstruction of law enforcement and violation of probation. He was taken to Muscogee County Jail.
