Gunman robs Advance Auto Parts on Forrest Road

A lone gunman robbed Advance Auto Parts on Forrest Road late Tuesday and fled with the cash, Columbus police said.

No one was injured in the holdup which occurred about 8:50 p.m., said police Sgt. Matt Blackstock.

The robber, armed with a pistol, took an undisclosed amount of cash from the business and fled. Investigators were in the area near Forrest and Woodruff Farm Roads searching for a suspect.

The robbery remained under investigation late Tuesday.
