44th Street man chokes woman with lamp cord

A 56-year-old man allegedly choked a woman with a lamp cord in her bedroom Wednesday, according to a Columbus Police report.

George Lockerman, 56, is wanted by police after the victim reported he choked her in the home they share on 600 block of 44th Street. When officers arrived at about 4 a.m., her flushed neck and face showed signs of swelling. She displayed scratch marks on her arms as well.

Lockerman allegedly caused $150 worth of property damage during the incident. He originally was sought at the scene, but was later arrested.
