Labor Day weekend forecast: Hot, humid with possibility of rain

The long Labor Day weekend will be a hot one with some scattered showers thrown in to keep the humidity up, according to the National Weather Service.

There’s a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms today, mainly after 1 p.m. The high will be around 92, but the heat index will make it feel like 98. The low tonight will be in the mid to low 70, still with a 30 percent chance of rain.

Saturday and Sunday will also see temperatures in the low 90s but the chance of rain rises to 50 percent, mainly after 11 a.m. Saturday and after 8 a.m. Sunday. The overnight lows will be in the mid 70s.

Labor Day will see slightly lower temperatures in the high 80s but the chance of rain will remain at the same 50 percent. The overnight low will be in the low 70s.
