Aug. 30-Sept. 1: Sky High Hot Air Balloon Festival at Callaway Gardens

Callaway Gardens hosts its 15th annual Sky High Hot Air Balloon Festival this weekend. Festivities kick off Aug. 30 with the Balloon Glow at Robin Lake Beach. Other highlights include a Classic Car Show on Aug. 31 and live music. On Sept. 1, there’s a Fitness Series event that includes a triathlon and a 5K race.

Hours are 10 a.m. until dusk Aug. 30, 6 a.m. until dusk Aug. 31 and 6 a.m. until dusk Sept. 1. Click here for a full schedule.

Festival admission is $25 per adult (ages 13-64); $20 per senior (65+); $12.50 per child (ages 6-12); and free for children 5 and younger (admission prices include tax). With proper identification, annual passholders can enter the Gardens with up to five guests in the same vehicle for free on Friday and before 9 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday and half-price after 9 a.m. This price includes access to Callaway Gardens and its many attractions and activities. There’s an additional fee to register for the triathlon and 5K race.
