Valentino Flowers

Loitering near two vehicles on Forsyth Street ended with a crack cocaine charge for a man arrested Wednesday near Ewart Avenue, according to a Columbus Police report.

Valentino Flowers, 32, was searched at about 10 p.m., when a patrolling officer spotted him loitering near some cars. The officer found an unspecified amount of crack cocaine.

Flowers was taken to Muscogee County Jail and charged with loitering and possession of crack cocaine.

During a Thursday morning Recorder's Court hearing, the arresting officer told the court he was in possession of 0.9 grams of crack cocaine. He was stopped, police said, because he seemed to be hiding between the two cars.

Judge Michael Cielinski set his bond at $3,000. His case will be forwarded to Muscogee County Superior Court.
