Muscogee County School Board: School board monthly work session, Muscogee County Public Education Center, 2960 Macon Rd. at 5 p.m.


Columbus Council: Council regular meeting. 9 a.m. at the City Services Building, 3111 Citizens Way.

Muscogee County School District: Elementary school early release day.


Callaway Gardens: Free admission in honor of 9/11. Gates open 9 a.m.-5p.m. Call 706-225-5292.


Forum: Let's Talk! … with the Mayor. Mayor Teresa Tomlinson leads this regular forum on the city's status. Citizens are encouraged to discuss their concerns. City Manager Isaiah Hugley, administrative officials, city department heads and public safety representatives will also be in attendance. The meeting will held at 6 p.m. at the Springer Opera House and will be taped to air on Columbus Consolidated Government Television Network.


Bikes on Broadway: The Southern Cruisers Riding Club presents this event at Woodruff Park in downtown Columbus. It's a fundraiser for Our House, a local children's home. Events aren't just for motorcycle enthusiasts, as you can usually expect to see vendors, music and more. Starts at 3 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. on Saturday. Free.

25th Annual Harris County Pro Rodeo: 8-10 p.m. Mike Tracy Arena, Hamilton, Activities include steer wrestling, bareback riding, team roping, saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping, barrel racing and bull riding. Cost: $6-$12, military discounts available.


Adopt A Pet Weekend: At PetSmart, 1591 Bradley Park Drive. Hours: 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Friday and Saturday; and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday. Your pet adoption will benefit local shelters and rescue agencies, including East Alabama Humane Society; each will receive $35 in adoption-reward grants from PetSmart Charities for every pet they adopt in stores during this event. 706-575-3785.


Museum: All-Star Artists -- Pop & Prints: 2-4 p.m., Columbus Museum. Young artists will travel back in time to Any Warhol's "Factory"! Discover Pop Art and get hands-on in the interactive "Factory" in the Warhol in Southern Collections exhibit, then create a "Warholed" self-portrait. $30 members/$3 non-members.
