Columbus State women's golf team falls to 11th

Sevierville, Tenn. -- The Columbus State women's golf team fell two spots to 11th Tuesday in the final round of the Smoky Mountain Intercollegiate.

The Cougars shot a final-round 327 and finished at 72-over-par 648.

Saint Leo won after shooting a 292 and finishing at 591. Lee University finished four shots behind.

Steph Charteris finished her first tournament for CSU in a tie for 21st after a final-round 80 left her at 11-over 155.

The other CSU players were Courtney Lowery (80-160, tie-42nd), Kaitie Cross (80-163, t-53rd), Ciera Bagley (87-170, t-64th) and Jodi Henley (91-178, t-71st).

CSU will play next week in Calera, Ala., in the Montevallo Full Moon BBQ Invitational.
