Rubio, Hardin lead Lady Blue Devils over Shaw

Breanna Rubio and April Hardin each drove in three runs to lead Columbus to a 10-0 win over Shaw Tuesday in a game shortened by the mercy rule.

The Lady Blue Devils picked up single runs in the first, second and fourth innings and then broke the game open with a 7-run fifth inning.

Kaleigh Sullivan (1-1) allowed one hit and struck out nine in picking up the victory.Tuesday at Hill Field

Harris County upped its record to 9-6 on the season thanks to a 4-0 win over Northside. Kayla Cotton pitched all seven innings for Harris County, throwing a one-hitter with no runs, four strikeouts and four walks.

Sarah Kate Jenkins went 2-3, scored twice and had a double. The other two runs for Harris County were scored by Abbey Thomason and Trinity Smith. Both players also had one RBI.
