Auburn football: Last-minute notes prior to kickoff

AUBURN, Ala. — The wait is nearly over, but here are a few more notes before Auburn and Mississippi State take to the field at Jordan-Hare Stadium this evening.

  • For the third consecutive game week in a row, Robenson Therezie will take the place of Justin Garrett at the hybrid safety/linebacker "Star" position in Auburn's starting lineup. It's much the same with Ben Bradley, who will man Jeff Whitaker's spot at defensive tackle. A few other changes: Nosa Eguae in place of LaDarius Owens at defensive end; Ryan White at corner for Chris Davis and Trovon Reed at receiver, taking Quan Bray's spot.
  • Mississippi State made two alterations to its lineup, with both coming at defensive end: Ryan Brown steps in for Preston Smith and P.J. Jones will do the same for Chris Jones.
  • The temperature was much like it has been the first two weeks: 80 degress, clear with little-to-no wind.
  • Auburn's team captains will be Chris Davis and Reese Dismukes.

And be sure to check out another on-camera appearance by me, in what I feel was my best video of the season — by far.
