A football father was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana on Friday night at at Kinnett Stadium.
According to a police report, Timothy Hicks 45, of Kathleen, Ga., told officers his son plays for Houston County High School, which defeated Northside High School 40-17.
Around 10 p.m., a woman told a police officer who was working security that she saw a man dressed in all black looking into vehicles at the north end of the parking lot. The officer approached Hicks who began to walk away.
The officer reported that he noticed a strong odor of marijuana on Hicks and when he asked Hicks if he had been smoking marijuana, Hicks replied "yes." When the officer asked Hicks if he had any more marijuana, Hicks showed him where some was in a towel on the driver's floorboard of a vehicle and told him, "You can get it."
The report states that the officer found a small plastic bag with approximately two grams of marijuana, the street value of which is $20.
