Police: Woman's left middle toe shot on Drake Street

A 28-year-old man is accused of family violence after allegedly shooting a 39-year-old woman in the left foot, according to a Columbus Police report.

Corey Lorenza Davis, 28, was arrested at about 4:15 a.m., after police responded to reports of gunshot on the 3000 block of Drake Street. When they arrived, they found the victim in the back bedroom with a gunshot wound in her left middle toe. She was transported to The Medical Center for treatment.

Davis was charged with family violence aggravated assault, cruelty to children, reckless conduct, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and discharging a weapon while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. He was taken to Muscogee County Jail.
