High school roundup: Glenwood downs Ft. Dale in 3 sets

Ft. Dale, Ala. -- Glenwood defeated Ft. Dale in three sets Monday, 25-13, 25-17, 36-34. Abi Cowart and Elizabeth Perdue had five aces apiece. Perdue had seven kills and Cowart tallied five kills and 14 digs.

Haviland Harden added three aces, six kills and 23 digs.

Glenwood (3-10) hosts Evangel Christian today at 5 p.m. and travels to Edgewood Thursday for a 5 p.m. match.Monday at Ft. Dale

The Northside girls' volleyball team defeated Hardaway 25-7, 25-11 and Fayette County 25-18, 25-18 at home before falling to Carrollton 25-22, 25-17.

Katie Jordan led the team with 15 kills. Caitlyn Jakes had 13 kills and Carli Smart totaled 12.Monday at Northside
