Here a brief look at the games to be played in the Bi-City area tonight.

NORTHSIDE VS. COLUMBUS

Where: Kinnett Stadium

Time: 7:30 p.m.

Records: Northside 1-2, Columbus 0-2.

Last week: Northside lost 40-17 to Houston County. Columbus was idle.

Last meeting: Northside won 47-10 last season.

Series record: Northside leads series 7-2 with five straight wins.

You need to know: Northside's victory this season came in Week 2 against Jordan. … Larry Gilyard leads Northside with 116 yards rushing. Quarterback Jonathan Karastury has 115 to go with 296 yards passing. … With Jordan snapping its 26-game losing streak last week, Columbus now owns the longest such streak at 19 games. The last Columbus win came Sept. 9, 2011, 7-0 over Kendrick.

WESLEYAN AT BROOKSTONE

Where: Rex Knight Stadium

Time: 7:30 p.m.

Records: Wesleyan 0-3. Brookstone 1-1.

Last week: Wesleyan lost 36-35 to Stone Mountain. Brookstone was idle.

Last meeting: Wesleyan won 17-14.

Series record: Wesleyan leads series 3-0.

You need to know: Brookstone had a big fourth-quarter rally to beat Columbus in the season-opener, but then watched Mount Paran rally in the final minute to beat the Cougars the following week. … Brad Dehem was an assistant coach at Wesleyan before taking over at Brookstone prior to the 2012 season. … Brookstone quarterback Miller Page has thrown for 312 yards and two TDs.

BACONTON CHARTER AT PACELLI

Where: Diemel Field

Time: 7:30 p.m.

Records: Baconton Charter 0-3, Pacelli 2-0.

Last week: Baconton Charter lost 47-6 to Telfair County. Pacelli beat Stewart County 44-0.

Last meeting: Pacelli won 45-7 last season

Series record: Pacelli won the teams' only meeting last season.

You need to know: Baconton Charter has scored just 12 points in its three games. Pacelli has given up just 12 in its two. … This is Pacelli's last non-Region 4-A game. … Keandre Ashley leads the Vikings with 155 yards rushing. Quarterback Wyatt Peterson has thrown for 229 yards and two touchdowns.

KENDRICK AT TEMPLE

Where: Temple, Ga.

Time: 7:30 p.m.

Records: Kendrick 1-2, 0-1 Region 5-AA. Temple 0-3, 0-1.

Last week: Kendrick lost 36-30 to Bowdon. Temple lost 14-13 to Jordan.

Last meeting: Kendrick won 34-0 last season.

Series record: Temple leads series 2-1.

You need to know: Kendrick has lost two straight after opening with a win over Americus-Sumter. … This is a game the Cherokees should win. They can't afford a loss here if they want to secure one of the four region playoff berths.

HARRIS COUNTY AT CALLAWAY

Where: Callaway Stadium, Hogansville, Ga.

Time: 7:30 p.m.

Records: Harris County 2-1. Callaway 2-0.

Last week: Harris County beat Veterans 30-20. Callaway was idle.

Last meeting: Callaway won 24-21 last season.

Series record: Callaway won the teams' only meeting last season.

You need to know: Harris County's Esaias Chapman has ruished for 459 yards in three games this season. TaQuon Marshall has 276, despite missing one full game and another half with an injured thumb. Keith Jenkins has 259. Marshall has also thrown for 211 yards.

CALVARY CHRISTIAN AT NEW CREATION

Where: McDonough, Ga.

Time: 7:30 p.m.

Records: Calvary Christian 2-2, 0-0 ICSGA South, New Creation 2-1, 0-0.

Last week: Calvary Christian beat Covenant Christian 46-26; New Creation beat Young American 47-14.

Last meeting: New Creation won 22-20 last season.

Series record: New Creation leads series 2-0.

You need to know: Region play starts for both teams. All four teams in the region will advance to the playoffs, so seeding and home field advantage is at stake.

CHATTAHOOCHEE COUNTY AT BOWDON

Where: Warren P. Sewell Field, Bowdon, Ga.

Time: 7:30 p.m.

Records: Chattahoochee County 2-1, 0-1 Region 5-AA. Bowdon 3-0, 1-0

Last week: Chattahoochee County lost 35-19 to Bremen. Bowdon beat Kendrick 36-30.

Last meeting: Bowdon won 35-6 last season

Series record: Bowdon won the teams' only meeting last season.

You need to know: The Panthers definitely have a difficult opening stretch to the region schedule with Bremen last week and Bowdon this week. If they can find a way to win Friday night, the schedule sets up well the rest of the way.

MILLER COUNTY AT MARION COUNTY

Where: Eagle Stadium, Buena Vista, Ga.

Time: 7:30 p.m.

Records: Miller County 1-2. Marion County 2-0.

Last week: Miller County lost 45-14 to Pelham. Marion County was idle.

Last meeting: Miller County won 20-7 last season

Series record: Miller County won the teams' only meeting last season.

You need to know: Miller County has lost two in a row since opening with a win over Schley County. … Marion County moved into the Georgia Sports Writers Association poll this week at No. 10. … This is Marion County's last non-Region 4-A game.

HARDAWAY AT LOWNDES

Where: Martin Stadium, Valdosta, Ga.

Time: 8 p.m.

Records: Hardaway 2-1. Lowndes 2-1.

Last week: Hardaway lost 22-17 to Shaw. Lowndes beat Windsor Forest 87-0.

Last meeting: Lowndes won 57-0 last season.

Series record: Lowndes leads series 2-1.

You need to know: Justin Crawford has rushed for 296 yards and four touchdowns for the Hawks. He has also caught four passes for 100 yards and a score.

R.E. LEE AT CENTRAL

Where: Garrett-Harrison Stadium

Time: 8 p.m.

Records: R.E. Lee 1-2, 1-1 Class 6A Region 3. Central 1-2, 0-2.

Last week: R.E. Lee beat Sidney Lanier 14-0. Central lost to Opelika 36-20.

Last meeting: Central won 54-28 last season.

Series record: Central leads series 13-6.

You need to know: Central has lost two straight to Carver-Montgomery and Opelika.

SMITHS STATION AT JEFF DAVIS

Where: Cramton Bowl, Montgomery, Ala.

Time: 8 p.m.

Records: Smiths Station 3-0, 2-0 Class 6A Region 3. Jeff Davis 0-3, 0-2.

Last week: Smiths Station beat Auburn 34-18. Central lost to Opelika 36-20.

Last meeting: Smiths Station won 28-19 last season.

Series record: Smiths Station won only meeting last season.

You need to know: Smiths Station got its signature win over Auburn last week. The Panthers can't afford to trip up against winless Jeff Davis. … The Panthers moved into the Alabama Sports Writers Association poll this week at No. 10.

RUSSELL COUNTY AT EUFAULA

Where: Senior Field, Eufaula, Ala.

Time: 8 p.m.

Records: Russell County 2-1, 2-0 Class 5A Region 2. Eufaula 0-3, 0-2.

Last week: Russell County beat Rehobeth 14-6. Eufaula beat Marbury 42-7.

Last meeting: Eufaula won 48-0 last season.

Series record: Eufaula leads series 31-5.

You need to know: This is a measuring stick game for Russell County. Eufaula is a longtime power in the region, while Russell County is building under second-year coach Demond McCoy. … In an interesting scheduling twist, the four 2-0 teams in the region are playing on Friday. In the other matchup of undefeateds Valley is playing at Ben Russell.

EDGEWOOD AT GLENWOOD

Where: Sammy Howard Field

Time: 8 p.m.

Records: Edgewood 4-0. Glenwood 1-3.

Last week: Edgewood beat Lakeside 62-20. Glenwood lost 69-49 to Kingwood.

Last meeting: Edgewood won 68-42 last season.

Series record: Glenwood leads series 11-5.

You need to know: Edgewood has averaged 54.5 points per game. Glenwood has given up 177 points in three losses (59 points per game). … Edgewood is No. 1 in the AISA rankings.
